Name: Seth Twiright
Canon: Evillious Chronicles
Age: Over 2000 years old, appears to be in his thirties or forties (IDK Evillious is weird with ages)
Species: It's Complicated. No, really, it is. He's a demon mask computer virus-turned-disease that incarnated into a human and later possessed a key and is literally the Apocalypse itself.
Appearance: Boop
History: A long time ago, the Second Period existed. The Second Period was a video game on Earth, which later became known as the First Period. It was a copy of Earth, where people could make avatars of themselves. These people then allowed the people in the Second Period to grow and prosper. However, the people in this game quickly became more advanced, gaining sentience, sapience and abilities and advancements that even the people of the First Period couldn't have dreamed of. And worse: it began to effect the First Period. The invention of Black Boxes (devices that looked like giant, black hollow cubes that served multiple purposes) and "masks with wills" were some of their later inventions. But the First Period was falling into decline, and, not seeing the Second Period as people, they struck back with something called Hereditary Evil Raiser Syndrome. A disease that basically spread and caused the people in the Second Period to gain a nasty combination of real-world mental illnesses, including psychopathy, dissociative identity disorder, schizophrenia and other such disorders that generally caused them to become destructive and erratic.
That is where Seth comes in. Due to his nature as the Serpent in later album booklets and novels, we can determine that Seth is ancient and that, as per the words of the books and such, he had a hand in the destruction of every Period prior to the Third. This marks him as the source of HERS. That is: Seth started life as a simple computer virus. A worm, as it were. But as time moved on, he took up a body in the form of a mask with a will, becoming Seth. And there, he gained further sentience and sapience and a personality. He began to study everything he could, with a specialty in parallel worlds. He became a renowned scientist and one of the brightest minds--a physicist who created a Black Box. But as HERS spread, the people left uninfected were desperate. So they struck out, climbing into space ships and went in different directions. Sensing that he would be left behind due to their not including anyone with HERS, Seth decided to make sure he had a spot--by tricking Levia Barisol, a genius of a psychologist, into submitting to her own HERS infection. He told her of a parallel her from the First Period (though she didn't realize this latter part), and told her to kill the HERS-infested version of herself.
She refused, instead bringing actual sociopath Behemo Barisol with her. The two secured places on the Climb One, and Seth had to become a stowaway. But he was discovered, due to a breakout of HERS. He managed to kill most of the inhabitants, with Held Yggdra and Levia Barisol preserving their spirit data--their very souls. But this lead to an argument, and the Climb One crashed on the ruins of the First Period, killing everyone aboard.
Except Seth, who had built a laboratory called Lunaca Labora, where he built himself a human body alongside the bodies for the new humanity the residents of the Climb One had built. Then, with his power to move souls between bodies, he moved himself right on into that body and was the sole survivor of the crash. Initially not too friendly with the remnants of the crash, the infected souls of the dead, Seth eventually developed a plan to complete his purpose as the Apocalypse virus he was. So he plotted with nine of them, but they were discovered and sealed. All except Seth, who then had to figure out how to release them.
He decided to bide his time, and eventually, humanity developed. About five hundred years later, Seth began to create artificial people known as ghoul children. This started with a couple of clones of himself--later known as Pale Noel and Kiril Clockworker. However, Pale's destructive tendencies and identical appearance to Seth caused problems. Doctoring and forging papers, he claimed Pale as his twin brother, separated at birth. Realizing the difficulties this caused, he ceased using his own DNA to clone himself and instead turned to other means, creating Meta Salmhofer and eventually up to twelve Ghoul Children. This included bodies for the twin children Maria Moonlit, known to the public as the persona Alice Merry-Go-Round, ruler of Magical Kingdom Levianta, was told to dispose of by throwing in a river. Seth offered to help her, in exchange for a later favor. She agreed and was given Adam Moonlit, who was a new body for her son--presented as a toy to give her what she wanted and keep he complacent to the senate that used Maria Moonlit as a puppet. The daughter was given to a witch in Nemu Village, and named Eve. She was insurance to keep Maria doing what he wanted. Eventually, Maria was given visions by Levia and Behemo, stating that to "cleanse the ark of Sin", the ruins of the Climb One, then the Mem Aleph would need to birth them new bodies. Seth wasn't selected as the first project runner, but Adam Moonlit, Maria's own son, was. Using Maria to his own ends, he sabotaged Adam's attempts by letting slip about Venom, an experimental mind control drug. Then he watched as the first Project MA failed, and so recruited Meta Salmhofer after framing her for the deaths of Eve's, the first project's attempted MA, children. (Yes, that Eve. Adam fled with her to wed her after seducing her, neither of them realizing they were siblings and Eve left unable to have children as a result of the Venom mind control drug.)
Meta successfully gave birth to twins, but then fled with them after recalling her own empty childhood without parents. Seth attempted numerous other MAs, but failed multiple times. Eventually, his activities creating ghoul children was found out and he was kicked off the project. However, at the same time that Adam was made the head of the project, Seth had called in his little favor with Maria. He then created his final ghoul child, Irina Clockworker, infected her with HERS and then transferred Maria's soul into the body. Irina was then given to Kiril as a sister. She was unable to recall her past life, and grew up in his care until the seventh and final Project MA. There, four women, including Irina and her brother's fiancée, Elluka Chirclatia, were selected as candidates. A death game then broke out, with Ly Li ending up falling off a cliff in what was dubbed an assassination by Pale's group, Apocalypse, and Milky Eights supposedly committing suicide. However, they were both deaths orchestrated by Irina, who wanted to be the MA. She also killed Elluka, envious of her relationship with Kiril, after tricking her. Seth later implanted her with twin embryos. However, the project ended in disaster.
Kiril, attempting to revive Elluka, used magic to revive the Climb One as Sin, and opened it. However, due to its age, it failed to do what Levia and Behemo wanted--as they had lured Kiril there with the body. While they were implanted within Elluka's body, Behemo went dormant and Levia lost he own memories. Meanwhile, their empty husks as a twin-headed dragon decimated the kingdom, causing a near-Apocalypse. Badly burned, Seth found the broken body of Irina, who was near death, among the ruins. Wanting his HERS to live on, and pinning his legacy on her, he transferred her soul into the body of a plush, red cat. Then, he wandered into the forest to die.
At some point, his soul ended up in one of his own creations, Grim The End. This device was a key that could take the shape of anything the wielded deemed fit. But he wasn't alone. He was trapped with Adam Moonlit, who served as the effective Demon of Wrath for years to come, granting power to those with hatred and revenge in their hearts. Seth watched casually as Adam aided over the next few hundred years, tempting people into contracts. He himself didn't act personally until the late EC calendar 600s--nearly 600 years since Levianta fell. There, Irina was facing Levia who had recovered her memories, and her lackey, Lemy Abelard, who had become effectively immortal due to a contract with the Demon of Gluttony (a regular power of a demon contract--a contractor can only be killed by someone else who is contracted, unless they use the poisoned blade of Grim The End). Seth conveniently left that part out when he reached out to Levia's apprentive, Gumillia, a reincarnated spirit from the Second Period. Gumillia accepted the deal and killed Lemy with the key transformed into a bullet, but this cornered Irina into using a Black Box within her body. She detonated it, and all inhabitants ended up in the Court--a plane where all were equal and mortal. Seth was further blasted to the Hellish Yard, the Evillious version of Hell, when the Demon of Gluttony intervened in the battle between Irina and Levia. There, he was trapped in a maddening miasma with Gumillia, once again reduced to a mask. With nowhere to go, the two worked together to first restore the area and eliminate the miasma, then become the judge of the dead, deciding who would move on to the Heavenly Yard, as the Hellish Yard was always the first stop, and who would remain there with them.
This lasted until well into the 900s, when Gumillia asked a favor of him. Levia had been forcibly reincarnated by someone else, becoming Nemesis Sudou. She tasked Seth with keeping her former master alive, and he did, repossessing Grim The End and becoming an octopus that was her pet. In a dream, he forged a contract with her, making her effectively immortal. However, they were separated when she was a teenager. Having committed a crime together (that is, he sunk a ship on her unknowing order because he reacted to her distress), someone came to take Nemesis away, and he was trapped in a frozen lake unable to do anything. He remained separated for a few years, when Nemesis fell in love and was forced, as the personal assassin of Gallerian Marlon, her own father (who didn't even know this all was happening), to kill her beloved, Nyoze Octo. She then attempted suicide, but obviously couldn't because she used normal bullets. Seth had turned the key into a human form, and so had moved her up into her apartment and Nyoze's body to his. From there, they moved on together, living their lived until Gammon, Nyoze's brother, got a hold of Nemesis and sent her down a path from which there was no return.
Seth remained by her side as both a mask and golden bullets, and she was taught that revenge could be justice and it was okay to kill in the name of justice. She killed her father a year after Nyoze died, and then went on to eventually become the ruler of Elphegort. This lasted for many years, with her descending deeper into paranoia and madness, eventually giving in to her HERS. She eventually convinced a reluctant Seth to unearth Punishment, a Black Box with an empty boy in it that could destroy the world. And she, eventually, did. From there, he returned to Gumillia with Nemesis the only person alive in the world and watched and waited as the events of the end of the Third Period happened. His only role in this was to break the contract after Nemesis bodyswapped into a doll and the person known as Ma, who was born from the fusion of the souls of Eve, Irina and Levia, who eventually shed all of them and was an unperson who would disappear otherwise, jumped into Nemesis' body. Nemesis being her own daughter, by the way.
With the world ended, Allen Avadonia and Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche, twins from a few hundred years past, were allowed to recreate the world as Irregulars (existences that shouldn't be, normally in pairs). Seth created a Black Box and fortress for Banica Conchita, and travelled with her to parallel worlds. His fate after that is unknown, because that's the end.
As a personal note, the early headcanon is more or less what I've been able to piece together because a lot of the pre-Original Sin Story (aka when Magical Kingdom Levianta existed) isn't super touched on, especially Seth. As well, a lot of the Adam and Eve stuff is more or less the only way I've been able to work out how canon says that Maria Moonlit, the reincarnation of Irina who later on becomes Irina in a stable time loop, is mother of them both when she's only had blonde twins (because they were Irregulars as they had no father) and Adam and Eve are a year apart and also not blonde. The Venom also makes sense in context because Seth really wanted that position, but Adam would have definitely been successful if not for that. ...Also I'm sorry for how weird this canon is.
REINCARNATION
Name: Seth Teufel
Age: 44
Appearance: He's exactly the same looks-wise except he's not blind in one eye.
History: Seth Teufel is from a normal family and lived a normal life... Except that he was a child genius. He won numerous science awards and went into university. He didn't really have many friends, but that didn't matter to him--he wanted to help people. He began quick work on becoming a doctor. He managed this by the age of twenty-three. Sometime during this he married someone he'd hit it off with in medical school. They had a daughter, Angeline (subject to change when she is apped as I do have a friend aping her) but the marriage didn't last. They divorced quietly but not exactly on friendly terms, with Seth keeping their daughter. Seth was left to care for the child on his own, and while initially he tried to keep up being a busy doctor and a single father, things just didn't work out.
He retired from a big medical practice and only really made housecalls to family and friends, but also used his money to become a dollmaker. He was, after all, skilled with his hands, and it allowed him to be there with his daughter as she grew up and eventually went away to school, where she is now. He runs a successful little doll shop, and even has taken to building dollhouses, too.
First Echo: Seth has regained the whole... Thing where he doesn't age anymore. His body being at a standstill, because that sure was a thing in Evillious. So right now he seems to be one of those people who doesn't change much for a while as he gets older.
Seth was on his way home late one snowy evening. It was almost a night like any other, really, walking that way from work--except how heavy the snow was. It echoed something, with how similar it felt to walking down the streets of Levianta, which was basically Russia, when he was Seth Twiright--a place he'd spent a few hundred years, watching it grow and progress into the city it was. From that day forward, Seth didn't age. Not that he's noticed, really. It's been about nine years since then, and he figured it was just genetics. (I looked it up, snow the likes of which he'd be used to happened maybe in 2009? Heavier than normal.)
PERSONALITY
Pre-Incarnation Personality: To be quite frank, Seth is a mad scientist and a genius. He has no limits to what he'll try to do with science if the technology allows it. He has created humans from nothing but his own DNA, forged documents to make it look like his own clone is his long-lost twin brother, and he's been the head of a project that's supposed to save the world. He can manipulate with the best of them, and he can be charismatic.
On the other hand, he lacks any real empathy or ability to truly bond with anyone for most of his life--until Nemesis, when he actually begins to change and start to care about someone other than himself (and even then she calls him a sadistic freak and a psychopath). The only times anyone can coerce him to do anything is when he himself is in trouble. He's also completely blind in his left eye and has poor eyesight in his right eye, meaning that he needs glasses in order to actually see. He's cruel and ruthless and can and will laugh at other people for their misfortune (or laugh while he's being hit with a painful flurry of blows, he's not exactly sane).
His curiosity can and does get the better of him at times, as it and his ambitions are the things he will always strive for regardless of anything else. He can create public personas that seem decent enough to cover for his less than savory traits, but they're only skin-deep and it's easy enough to see through it when presented with the right subject. He's knowledgeable about alternate timelines, and uses this knowledge to inform his decisions--and even to travel to them when he's bored enough that this world doesn't hold anything of value anymore.
Seth also doesn't make deals unless he thinks he'll come out on top. This doesn't mean he can't be tricked, but he does consider carefully and flattery that leads him to think he has the upper hand can and will sway him. Also, he's prone to planning hundreds of years ahead if he can. He does whatever he can to get what he wants.
Any differences?: Given that Seth is no longer the literal Apocalypse and a demon-mask-virus-disease thing, he's going to be quite different. He's, for example, no longer a borderline sociopath, and instead is a gentle soul. While still curious as all heck, he's not going to be diving into human experimentation. He's also a family man, raising a single daughter, and a former doctor. As a parallel to his human experimentation, though, he works on dolls, and he is a doctor. He is in general a nicer and much less manipulative person, and he's not about to be all smirky and cruel. He's still got his natural charisma, but it's not something he uses for evil, and his nicer traits are no longer a persona or only skin deep. Basically, he's an all around nicer, goofier, gentler and less insane and evil version of himself. Altruistic and gentle and in general a better person.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLES
- 3rd person/action: [ The green-haired woman wearing him--Gumillia, not Nemesis--is quiet. But they have that connection, so he can simply pull out of her head what she wants to say. And what he finds, he's not sure how to feel. That Nemesis wants to end their contract... Ah. He sees. A plan. Sacrifice herself, to be rid of that dreadful woman. ]
...So she's sure she wants to do this, then? It would get rid of a rather pervasive thorn in all our sides.
[ He's met with silence when he laughs a little. But it's an emptier laugh than normal. If he had a face, he'd be frowning. But this is what Nemesis wants, and he sees little other way to deal with MA. So he watches the battle above, and when the girl he'd kept alive for so long begins to fall through the air, he does it. A simple negating of a contract, and the body goes splat into a bloody pulp on the ground. Nemesis, after all, is safe in the Clockworker's Doll. ]
So that's it, then... She's gone and the world is saved.
[ It's said dryly, almost bored. But it's over, and that's what matters. He supposes now, it's really up to that boy, Allen, what happens. Whatever, he'll see the results, and if he doesn't like them, he can always head elsewhere. There are, after all, an infinite number of parallel worlds out there. He need only pick one. ]
- 1st person/network: [ Social media is something new to him. He hadn't really thought to touch it. But here he is, nervously making a post. ]
Um. Hello. My name is Seth Teufel. It's nice to meet you all. I'm entirely new to this experience, but I'm hoping I get the hang of this fairly soon!
[ That works, right? He scratches the back of his head. ]
Genius doctor turned dollmaker, and I'm not even sure I'm getting this right. Well, I guess I can only see how it goes. If I do this, maybe I'll have another way to keep in contact with Lina. Yes, that would be fun. And maybe I could meet more people... I do get a little lonely...
[ He chuckles to himself. That would... Yes, that would be fun. So he sits there and waits for responses while he works on the doll he has to do. The work day is always a little boring, after all. ]
ANYTHING ELSE? Nothing really other than I'm sorry that Evillious is so bullshit and weird.

Abilities:
- Demon Contracts: So long as he has access to Grim The End, Seth can offer demon contracts to people. These work in that they essentially give the contractor the possibility of passing down HERS, while granting them near immortality and, depending on the object, specific powers. Seth offers a shapechanging weapon that can take the form of any weapon in existence, as well as the ability to send out energy blasts from said weapon. He could also contact them telepathically and read their minds. This becomes slightly less limited if he is no longer in Grim The End, but only in the form that he makes a person his familiar instead of a contract--making it limited to one person at a time, in both cases.
- Soul Manipulation: Through years of research, Seth could manipulate souls. He could alter memories, transfer them between people and even into inanimate objects, and even alter the to become ageless like himself. However, he has to be able to put his hands on them.
- Possession: Somewhat linked to demon contracts, Seth could possess those he was contracted with. This allowed him to fuel their anger and rage and influence them to do things.
- Mimicry: A power inherent to his role as a demon, he could mimic in appearance and voice those who would drive people to commit atrocities so long as he was in Grim The End.
- Genius Scientist: Seth was a genius mad scientist. He excelled at any science you put before him. He was especially skilled at physics, medical-related sciences and the science of parallel worlds.
- Manipulation: Seth was a skilled manipulator, able to pull the wool over a number of people's eyes and fool them into thinking he was a decent person. He had charisma for days and was good at constructing personas that gained trust.
- Forgery: He could forge documents with ease. Like, really, he canonly forges things.
